02 / The family resemblance
Quilton keeps its upholstered form close to the floor. Quilton Lift reveals timber legs beneath it, opening up the space below. Choose oak, walnut or black oak to change the character of the room.
03 / Colour changes everything
A quiet neutral lets the quilting do the talking. A saturated colour turns the whole sofa into a statement. On a form this generous, texture matters just as much as shade.
HAY’s fabric groups set the upholstery price, rather than a quality or durability rating. Compare 16 fabrics, see current prices for your sofa and build a shortlist before asking us about samples.

04 / Make space for it
Quilton is deliberately deep. Think about the space you sit in, the space you walk through and the route it takes into your home.
Use masking tape for the sofa’s full width and deepest point. Add your coffee table, then walk the routes you use every day.
The fixed sofas have a 77 cm seat depth. If you prefer a more upright position, consider how a back cushion would work for you and try the sofa where possible.
Measure doorways, turns, stairs and lifts. Modular pieces travel separately, but each still needs to fit. Ask us to confirm packed dimensions before ordering.
A quick size reference
Overall width × maximum depth. Allow additional space for circulation. For modular sofas, confirm the exact plan and left- or right-hand orientation.
